Shouldn't 2nd hand operators also be added

[edit]

I noticed this page only reflects those operators who ordered their planes new from Boeing. Off the top of my head, Air India operates 3 used 777-200s purchased several years ago from United.71.163.237.242 20:39, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Effort Needed for New Columns

[edit]

I took the time to add onto the page options columns. These are only under the varients in production (200ER, 200LR, 300ER and the future 200LRF). Can we please all make an effort to fill in these columns with the correct information to get it going. Thanks. 210.7.19.21 18:33, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ordered

[edit]

To clarify — does the Ordered column indicate the total number of orders ever placed by the airline (including orders which have already been fulfilled), or does it indicate orders for further aircraft, additional to what has already been delivered? From looking at the table, I'm not sure. -- Vardion 22:32, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. It is all the orders placed by the airline for that specific aircraft. 125.238.106.19 00:03, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

United

[edit]

United Airlines isn't listed at all in this chart. According to the United Wiki page, they own 52 in total. godospoons 2:32, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Why not leased/sub-leased operators?

[edit]

List of Boeing 777 operators should include all airlines including former ones Air Europe, Varig, Khalifa Airways, Japan Air System are some.119.155.38.53 (talk) 23:46, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

order table malfunction?

[edit]

the order and delivery table is not getting updated despite adding new orders in there, they dont show up and only display older information. 116.71.10.217 (talk) 11:57, 7 April 2012 (UTC) --Playerstroke (talk) 02:21, 21 October 2012 (UTC)I believe American Airlines first 777-300ER might have been delivered since seating information is available http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/American_Airlines/American_Airlines_777-300_ER.php However I don't see information for it on American Airlines' and Boeing's news releases.[reply]

Active operators' table doesn't sort properly

[edit]

The way the sorting is done leaves Emirates out of the whole thing. Whichever column you pick, it doesn't show Emirates as the largest operator of the type. Could somebody fix this? I tried but I failed. BadaBoom (talk) 04:35, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is now dealt with, thanks to some guidance from Help:Sorting. Buttons to Push Buttons (talk | contribs) 07:41, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Current operators list

[edit]

I believe this section is not adequately sourced. It currently links to this official Boeing page, which is a great source... but only covers orders, not operations. As such, a whole bunch of airlines that lease airlines are not listed on that page, and thus their inclusion in the first table is not verified. The whole section needs improvement, imo

Also thanks to the old sorting style, which honestly was far too confusing for the drive-by editor, a lot of the values in the totals columns are now incorrect. Due to the issue of verifiability, I can't guarantee which number is correct. As such, at least the following need checking:

  • Air Austral (-200ER and total)
  • Air France (-300ER, possibly total)
  • All Nippon Airways (total -- the row adds up, but was previously sorted as 46)
  • Asiana Airlines (-200ER and total)
  • British Airways (-300ER and total)
  • Cathay Pacific (-300ER and total)
  • Ceiba (all, total does not add up)
  • EgyptAit (all, total does not add up)
  • Japan Airlines (all, total does not add up)

In reality, I imagine the entire thing needs going over with a fine-tooth comb, once an adequate source can be found. Buttons to Push Buttons (talk | contribs) 07:41, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Looking further through this list, there are the same sourcing issues for all three of the other major tables in this list. That Boeing source does not verify anything with regards to current operators, former operators, or the delivery timetable by year. It's pretty strange that it's even being linked on any of these when it has no bearing on any of them... Have tagged each section as such. Orders and Deliveries

[edit]

Would it be worth making a graph of 777 orders and deliveries similar to this one?

777-8X and 777-9X orders

[edit]

The order list should include separate columns for 777-8X and 777-9X, not group them all into the 777x family. Karpouzi (talk) 03:59, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

orders, options, MOU and LOI.

[edit]

On this page orders and options are getting mixed up and also orders and MOU or LOI.

If an airline is ordering 10 air planes and takes options for 5 more, the order is still for 10 air planes only. If there is an MOU or LOI the order is not yet placed.Jochum (talk) 21:04, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
