Official name in local language

[edit]

The link to the Broadcasting Act which was being used to support the claim that it's the "Teratri of", rather than "Teratri a'" in the local language is possibly not the most useful thing, as it looks to have been accidentally left out of the translation into the local language. As per the PDF, the local rendering of the purpose of the Act runs "Wan Aekt laanen wathing wi haew duu...", where "Haew duu" translates the English "Concerning" and is derived from "Have [to] do". Therefore, the sound of "v" in "have" is rendered as a "w" sound in Norfuk, which is the same sound as the "f" in "of". Admittedly there's also "tiivi" in the same text, but that's a more recent coining. I know there's an outline of Norfuk phonology in Buffett, which I've cited, but my copy's with someone else at the moment so I can only point in the general direction of the book, rather than specifically to the page.
