US Iraq Casualties
[edit]American casualties in Operation Iraqi Freedom have contributed by far the largest proportion of those killed and wounded in the invasion and subsequent occupation of Iraq. In the time since the start of the invasion nearly 1,800 service personnel have been killed in action. Some 14,000 troops have been wounded in action during the same time period.
