Ad for a defunct magazine. Although the mag no longer publishes, half of the article and one of the two links discuss how to buy back copies. RickK 23:15, Aug 1, 2004 (UTC)
- I tend to think articles on defunct publications are encyclopedic and worth keeping. Jgm 02:24, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- I recommend a merge with John Holt. If it really was the "the nation's first homeschooling magazine" as both articles state, then it has historical notability. If not, then the John Holt article needs to be updated. - RedWordSmith 05:28, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- It was pretty prominent in its day, and I think it had fairly wide circulation, though I'm not certain (does anyone know a good source for old circ figures? I assume somebody archives them). I'd say keep, but since I was reader (& critic) of it for much of its run, I'm probably biased. -FZ 18:42, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Keep, do not merge. A short blurb and a link to the main topic (John Holt) are appropriate. Wile E. Heresiarch 21:37, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- I posted the original article. I would not be opposed to a merge with the Holt article because I think it likely that anyone who knows the magazine also knows about Holt. If it would make a difference I could add some more detail about the magazine, such as naming the former publishers, reviewing the changes in ownership, that sort of thing, but this mostly seems like trivia. The Growing Without Schooling link is not primarily for the purpose of selling back issues, it offers a lot of free information. The second link could be deleted if links to commercial sites are generally discouraged here. Alan Nicoll 2 Aug 2004
