- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
Hi, Spl2. I've been watching some of the recent article additions today, and while we all really appreciate the new articles (or at least, I do), your small (~200 byte) submissions leave future Wikipedians very little to work with. Regarding some of your biblical entries like Ulla, are you trying to create a sort of biblical concordance? If that is not the case, and you know enough about Ulla and related subjects, can you write a bit more?
Please do not construe this as a request to stop creating articles; I simply think it would just be nice if they were a bit closer to nonzero in length. :-) --Ardonik 05:14, Jul 14, 2004 (UTC)
- Got your message on my talk page. In all fairness, I can't find much about Ulla online, either. If I can, I'll try to expand the article, but for now it's not-even-a-stub. Maybe we'll have more success with some of the other biblical characters. --Ardonik 18:41, Jul 14, 2004 (UTC)
- Hi! We seem to be swinging the other way here. You start out with a substub description, then post a massive Bible quote. This really isn't the place to build a concordance. Thanks. - Lucky 6.9 16:26, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Your edit to Cyber anthropology looks like you just cut and pasted a machine translation. Is that what you did? If so, please don't do that again, that's definitely against our translation policy. Good Spanish is more useful than bad English: anyone can go to Babelfish or Google translations to get a machine translation, and those who can read Spanish can simply read. Also, this really mucked some titles of cited works. -- Jmabel 05:45, Jul 19, 2004 (UTC)
