Dostoevsky?
[edit]Why is Dostoevsky in the see-also's? While you might say that his literary work is a sort of forerunner of postmodernism, if you take one of the meanings of postmodernism to be the name of a particular literary trend, his theology was really nothing more than Russian Orthodoxy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.71.71.120 (talk) 10:57, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
How does Rene Girard fit in here?

Expansion
[edit]This article should be tagged for expansion. Postmodernism is very vague and diverse, as are the types of postmodern Christianity. I took a class on Postmodern theology a few years ago, and one of our texts had at least 15 different chapters on different types of Postmodern theology.Tanktimus (talk) 15:18, 25 March 2010 (UTC) www.highpriest.org —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.175.89.177 (talk) 10:49, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
I agree with the need for expansion. Most of the material in the article is on the philosphical background of postmern CHristianity, not on the the views of leaders and proponents of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:445:4000:DC01:119E:12CB:3E66:DEB0 (talk) 22:07, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
Proposed rename
[edit]What actually is this about? Christian theology in particular or all theologies of all traditions?
And, who calls the things on this page 'postmodern'? No citations for that. FatalSubjectivities (talk) 16:09, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
A specifically Christian phenomenon?
[edit]Theology is not my field, but if (as I suspect) this is a form of Christian theology, then the article should explicitly say so. If, however, it is a broader phenomenon, then this should be stated explicitly.
If the editor who recognizes what is missing cannot add it themself, please describe here what needs to be added. Maintenance tags are only helpful if they are actionable!
(In neither case, however, do I see any reason to change the name of the article.)

- I just found a source that says that it is specifically Christian (although more by taking this for granted than stating it as directly as I would have liked).
- But still, if anyone knows better, please do speak up!
