A grayscale photo of Jay-Z doing his signature "diamond" hand gesture. He is wearing a bandana and turns his head away. The photo, which imitates the brush-stroke aesthetics, is overlaid with the word "dynasty", written in a cursive font in various languages. The text "ROC LA FAMILIA" and the bigger text "JAY-Z" underneath it are placed at the top of the cover; the text "The DYNASTY" is located at the bottom.
