Welcome to the Film awards task force of WikiProject Film! We are a task force dedicated to building a comprehensive and detailed guide on Wikipedia about notable film awards.

Goals:

 • To standardize the awards articles in Wikipedia.
 • To improve Wikipedia coverage of film awards by adding, expanding and improving relevant articles
 • To serve as a central point of discussion for issues related to film awards articles

Scope

[edit]

This task force is a merger of the old Academy Awards WikiProject, with an expansion of the scope to cover all notable film awards. (As such, much task force material is currently biased towards the Academy Awards - however, these articles can just as easily serve as model articles for other film awards articles.) The articles relevant to this work group should all be contained in Category:Film awards or one of its subcategories.

Footers

[edit]
Note: Adding "1927-1940," "1941-1960," "1961-1980," "1981-2000," or "2001-2020" will give a more specific template box.

Categories

[edit]

Add categories for each Academy Awards ceremony article in the following format:

Note that the second Category, yyyy is replaced by the year of film release on which the ceremonies were based. The annual film awards categories in Wikipedia were based on film release years, not the years each ceremony was held.

For example, the 75th Academy Awards ceremony was held in 2003, but awarded films released in 2002. Therefore, the categories for that article are:
