Signature

[edit]

Thank you for your vote on WP:IDRIVE. Your question about the signature: you can sign your vote with four tildes ~~~~ this will look exactly like most other votes on the IDrive, just your name and date and time. You can also use the button above the edit window (second from the right) - this will produce two hyphens and your name and date and time. This version is commonly used to sign talk-page contributions, but you can also use it to sign your vote.--Fenice 06:48, 9 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Outrageous overgeneralisation

[edit]

You claimed some time back in the talk page for Technical analysis that it had been shown that there were no significant trends in the stock market except for the long term upward one. What source misled you into believing this extraordinary fiction? (A look at the fall in the NASDAQ or the NIKKEI by more than 75% in each case would make anyone rather bemused at such an outrageous viewpoint - anyone with common sense can see both of these markets were in a downtrend for some time). Note: The exact claim that this refers to is "Once the long-term increasing trend has been accounted for, any trends that remain are so weak as to be negliciable in practice.". See my response on Elroch talk page. Filur 17:25, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
