Rick, if you really feel like you have to do that, go ahead. You might as well go through my contribs, and change them all too. I won't stop you. I think "American" is fine personally, but I'm just as proud to use "U.S.". I won't continue the edit war, so have at it.-- Decumanus 07:20, 2005 May 22 (UTC)

"U.S." is a POV usage used by people who don't like "American" because they're afraid of offending people. It's our country, our nationality. RickK 07:38, May 22, 2005 (UTC)
I use it because I like it. So does the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Congress too. And before you say "those don't count", just remember there is no "France Army" or "Mexico Army". U.S. is an adjective in those links, and I'm proud to use it that way too. -- Decumanus 07:41, 2005 May 22 (UTC)

Relevance of Mary Jane Eaton paragraph?

[edit]

I think this paragraph is of minimal relevance to the article. This is not a genealogy, and does not even reference a direct descendant (and Eaton has many). Any objections to deletion? Hipgnostic (talk) 03:09, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
