[edit]

This page is extremely positive. It seems a lot like advertising. Needs a rewrite. 213.203.17.243 13:52, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit]

Yes this is an advertising. so many years. why?? its a shame! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.201.146.249 (talk) 04:50, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Can a video be added, it's footage of the Planet Hollywood San Francisco. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auWuA9Bu7MI

Edits

[edit]

I've had a go at stripping out some of the superlatives. Daibhid C 15:12, 3 Mar 2005 (UTC)

We could help fix this by including restuarants that have folded, as well as the ones that are still open? Melbourne, Australia is definitely closed. I also have visited the "Orange County", California store that isn't on this list.. Commking August 23, 2005

Redo of page

[edit]

I added a bunch of information that should make it very netural. I also removed some of the names that probably should go in a history section to maintain a netural introduction. I'm removing the neturality warning since I think it is OK now. If needed, place restore it.

There used to be a planet hollywood in cape town. But several years back a local terrorist group bombed it, killing one person an maiming many. I dont know if there should be a mention or a link to that incident here? Banes 09:40, 26 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Vancouver Location

[edit]

I added Vancouver(of BC Canada) onto the small "Closed" Planet Hollywood restaurants. I'm not exactly sure when it closed down. Quite awhile ago. Was located on Robson St., next to Virgin Megastore Vancouver(now a HMV store) HighEnergyProtons 17:50, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Inconsistency

[edit]

The article states that there are only three locations left, but there are way more listed in the "Locations" section. What gives? Murderbike 23:19, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There should also be a mention of the Planet Hollywood Casino groundbreaking in 99 that flopped in Vegas. The land is now known as the Wynn Casino. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.193.238.183 (talk) 03:13, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Both the Dublin and Kuala Lumpur restaurants are closed! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.132.87.117 (talk) 04:18, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Schaumburg Illinois was NOT a restaurant

[edit]

As surprising as it may seem that the once biggest mall in the US didn't have a restaurant, the truth is that it didn't. It did however have a store, located where the Lego store currently is, according to my father. Stranger yet is that Gurnee Mills DID have a store yet it's a discount mall. If no one moves Woodfield to the Stores section, then I'll do so soon. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brianbobcat (talkcontribs) 21:07, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion

[edit]

maybe note that in the restaurants, they usually exhibit some celebrity franchise? Liek shirts and stuff worn in movies etc? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.83.121.172 (talk) 19:57, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

much more information should be given about the terrorist attack on the cape town location in 1998. an explanation of why it closed is also neded was it because of the attack or was it simply not making money? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.27.102.44 (talk) 22:23, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unclear passage re: Marvel Mania Restaurant

[edit]

If Marvel, Universal and Planet Hollywood were co-owners, how could Planet Hollywood shut down Marvel Mania? That makes it appear as if Planet Hollywood was the parent company. This is unclear and needs clarifying.--Tenebrae (talk) 00:58, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

>>> And worse is that the link to article re "Marvel Mania" is dead. --Tapalmer99 (talk) 08:44, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Guam location

[edit]

I made correction on the Guam location because, first, it's not closed yet, and second, it's not just a merchandise store, but a restaurant as well. On March 31 2012 it will close, but not yet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jlujan69 (talkcontribs) 19:47, 21 February 2012 (UTC) http://www.guampdn.com/article/20120222/NEWS01/202220320/Planet-Hollywood-closing-its-doors?odyssey=tab%7Ctopnews%7Ctext%7CFrontpage — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jlujan69 (talkcontribs) 19:49, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ark of the Covenant at San Francisco location?

[edit]

I've heard over the years, that for a period of time after it first opened, the Planet Hollywood in San Francisco had the Ark of the Covenant prop from Raiders of the Lost Ark on display. Has anyone else heard this or have a source for this? I think it would be worth mentioning in the article, especially since the prop has been out of sight ever since leaving the SF location. --RThompson82 (talk) 23:10, 8 December 2015 (UTC) Yes....................This prop was on display for a very very very short period of time.. When we had came back to the location later on the waitress on duty had said that Mr Lucas had taken the ark back as he needed it to host a party AND IT WAS NOT EVERT SEEN AGAIN — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.35.235.42 (talk) 23:31, 17 March 2021 (UTC) This Glorious prop was on display in the main dining room downstairs and boy I wished I had a camera to have taken a picture of this prop.. However it was behind plexiglass and of the time unless you had a professional camera casual pictures were impossible to come by....PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE.. There must be at least one patron at the time who has in their pic collection a photo of this most important artifact to fill this void??????........[reply]
