User talk:Derision~enwiki
I really don't think it's appropriate to link every single death/black metal band in existence to the anus.com review site. As far as I can tell, you're just trying to spam Wikipedia. Anus.com is one web site, out of hundreds like it on the web, and I don't see any reason to elevate it above all the others. -leigh (φθόγγος) 05:44, Jan 16, 2005 (UTC)
- If you're User:129.110.240.1, you're even adding links to bands that anus.com doesn't even cover, like Dark Tranquillity! -leigh (φθόγγος) 05:49, Jan 16, 2005 (UTC)
- In seeing a blatant fallacy I must interject. Anus.com does cover Dark Tranquility, it's in the metal portion of the site called "The Dark Legions Archive," and it's located here,Dark Tranquility. Please research your information before you present it as an argument and or fact. If I may be so bold this comment seems like a personal vendetta against the ANUS supporters that have arisen in the recent conflict over the validity of the ANUS page. A simple checking of the ANUS page shows that Dark Tranqulity is present. This lack of research makes me question your validity and your motives for all other comments you've made during this ANUS conflict. -wolvesevolve
Please don't vandalise Wikipedia: This includes other user's userpages. If you do that again, I'll block you. I also must agree with Leigh; Wikipedia is not merely a collection of external links, nor a vehicle for self-promotion. Please do not abuse the open nature of the project by adding your link to articles on such a massive scale; this is considered spam. Thanks for your consideration. -- Hadal 06:18, 16 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Derision. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Derision~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
