Moved birth from article:

This may well be correct, but first, "generalist" isn't exactly helpful, and secondly, Robert Brown is a disambig page that doesn't appear to contain him. Removed until there's an article about this "generalist", whatever that may be. Lupo 10:09, 19 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Founding of a 1968 church is notable?

Someone has made an entry regarding a (redlinked) church. I propose that this be deleted. I welcome your thought. Thanks, Hu Gadarn 15:23, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Seems like little more than another church (http://www.firstcathedral.org/). There doesn't seem to be anything more notable about it than any other large place of worship. -- Borameer ™ 15:42, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Imus event

"2007 - Veteran talk radio personality Don Imus is fired by CBS Radio, eight days after making racially inflammatory on-air remarks about the Rutgers University women's basketball team."

While *I* think it isn't very notable, it completely consumed the news for a long time and has led to a few other things. Numerous DJ's have been fined or fired and the effects of that stupid comment has had world changing repercussions (which I must say I find a sad commentary on the world). It's as notable as Janet Jackson's breast (which I don't know if is listed on Wiki though). It was me that boldly removed the Imus Event, and would have done the same to Janet Jacksons breast had it been on the February 1 page. I realize that it was you and I was simply adding my comment on its removal, if I thought it was far more notable I would have restored it. That's what these pages are for though, to discuss edits. I too think that about 70% of all Events should be removed but they seem to be notable on some level (such as Led Zeppelin albums, some are actually selected anniversaries!). Good call. A 23 year-old lawyer isn't likely to have achieved much in her legal career. I've gone ahead and removed the entry since she doesn't have her own article. -- irn (talk) 13:50, 12 April 2018 (UTC)

Removals

Removed Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope, as the article for MoH is a redirect and I do not believe it is internationally notable. Also removed Zuma must go protests as that does not even have an individual article, only a section on Protests in South Africa. Elassint ^Hi 03:01, 13 April 2018 (UTC)

Terry Fox is extremely notable within Canada (as a result of this event), and I would assume also notable internationally at least enough that this event merits inclusion in the list. There are several other events here which appear to be very US-centric, with little notability internationally. The Marathon of Hope article is a redirect to Terry Fox, although I don't see in this case why this is a problem. Also, this event is already present in the eligible section of Wikipedia:Selected anniversaries/April 12. 206.12.70.15 (talk) 02:47, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
