You're being silly. You don't even name those two professors, let alone say whether they claim any special knowledge in this area. I do claim such knowledge, and I expect both of those anonymous professors would quickly admit to knowing far less than I do about this if we compared notes. Did they say your statement was right -- that aleph_1 is next after aleph_0? If so, they're right, as long as you admit the axiom of choice, but not otherwise. But did they also say that's the definition? If so, they're wrong. Most mathematicians do not know this material, so for you to mention only that someone teaches calculus or complexity theory as reason to regard them as authorities doesn't make it. What are their names and email addresses, and yours? Why don't you check with an authoritative source, as I suggested, e.g., a textbook on the subject, as I suggested? Hi, saw your discussion mention about Amazon Unbox, and I was wondering about it, since it appears you've used it. First off, can episodes be backed up to DVD, since having more than a few on a standard hard drive is almost out of the question? Second, can episodes be played without an active internet connection, or with a slower-than-T1 connection? Third, what about external hard drives? - I use Unbox quite a bit, so I happen to know. I think that all of those are in the FAQ though. Yes, you can back up the files however you like (they are normal files). However, it isn't always necessary because they will (usually) let you re-download the file for free (though that can take some time). Second, an internet connection is only needed for the download. Once the file is downloaded, you can unplug your computer and still watch the movie. Finally, to the best of my knowledge (I don't remember if I've done it or not), external hard-drives should work fine. If there are problems with that, you could always use them for backup.
