If this calculator is more advanced than the TI-89, why did they give it this name rather than just "TI-90"?? How is the name of a calculator usually determined?? 66.245.25.83 17:48, 22 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

This is purely a marketing descision. The TI-89 is actually "better" (internally, at least) than the TI-92, and internally equivalent to the TI-92 Plus, yet was not called the TI-89 Plus. TI may have reserved to 90 series to large format calculators with keyboards. The marketing mind can be inscrutable. - PlatinumX 01:15, 2004 May 26 (UTC)

True or false??

[edit]

True or false: there is a calculator that will probably be discontinued in response to this calculator's release just as the TI-82 will probably be discontinued in response to the release of the TI-84 Plus. 66.245.81.98 18:09, 27 Jun 2004 (UTC)
