Are we certain that this is actually something promoted by the film studio? It doesn't sound like the work of a film studio but of someone trying to pass themselves as part of it. The movie is controversial enough that someone trying to cast the creators in a poor light sounds plausible enough. Can we get verification? RadicalBender 21:32, 25 Feb 2004 (UTC)

And just for clarification, I don't mean verification that the spam exists, we can see that. We need verification that an actual movie studio is attempting to do this. The accusation you are levying is very serious and the only evidence thus far is some positing by bloggers. Show me a studio press release or a News.com article that verifies that this is a studio campaign. RadicalBender 22:04, 25 Feb 2004 (UTC)
You are of course correct. I shall go away and see what I can find. - David Gerard 22:10, Feb 25, 2004 (UTC)

I added a redirect from link spam to this page. Also, since this is a form of spamdexing, the Spamdexing page links to link spam.

I removed the link to the blacklist on Wiki because its existence there is currently the source of some controversy. -- Hex 22:05, Jul 4, 2004 (BST)
