1995 election

[edit]

What party did Fujimori represent in the 1995 presidential election? Still Cambio 90, or something else? Hajor

Still Change '90 but at some point the name was changed to Change '90 - New Majority. In 2000 he ran as the candidate of Peru 2000 User:Pimpalicious May 2, 2004 9:42 (ET)

  1. Where did this "Change 90" come from? I read primarily English-language newspapers and I have never seen a paper use that as the "name" of the party. Yes, cambio means change, but some words in some contexts are not routinely translated.
  2. Was the party officially Cambio 90 or Cambio '90? I thought it was the latter, but I see that the article is at the former. -- Jmabel | Talk 07:01, Mar 15, 2005 (UTC)
