User talk:Sledmaster
Hi Sledmaster, and welcome to Wikipedia.
Thankyou for finding the time to sign up and contribute to our little project. If you're in doubt about anything, you might want to check out some of these pages:
- Welcome, newcomers - a general introduction, and a good starting point
- The help centre and FAQs
- The Manual of Style - a guide to the community's writing conventions
It's also a good idea to sign the new user log and add a little about yourself.
When contributing to a talk page, you can sign your name by typing four tildes after your comments, like this: ~~~~. (Just so you know, some people won't pay attention to unsigned comments).
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me at my talk page, or at the Help desk or Village Pump.
Above all, make sure you be bold when contributing, and have fun!

Hi, I moved the article to Daniel Burnham and merged the two, the covered obviously similar content. Nice work on the article text. dml 01:58, 26 Sep 2004 (UTC)
I changed for a second time the in-line external link in the Daniel Burnham article. Please don't make in-line external links to articles that already have Wikipedia article (American Institute of Architects) or ones which we will have articles on (Church of New Jerusalem, Masonic Temple Building). Copyright of Photo
[edit]The photo of Washington, D.C. Union Station - do you have rights to it? It appears to come from this page [1]. If you do not own it, get rights from the copyright owner or cannot prove it is public domain, we can't use it. You could put a request at Wikipedia:Requested pictures for someone in D.C. to take a new picture. Rmhermen 14:18, Sep 27, 2004 (UTC)
Image copyright tags
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Court of Honor and Grand Basin.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, Tagishsimon (talk) 18:26, 30 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:Burnham_bust.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Burnham_bust.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image source problem with Image:Burnham carbon.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Burnham carbon.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:45, 1 November 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ricky81682 (talk) 10:45, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
