We have found both spellings, "Lawrence" seems common in pre-20th
century literature, while "Laurence" is generally used in later works.
Although we have not checked this against any original resources, we
have opted to go for the version generally used in bio-bibliographical
databases and secondary literature today.
Kind regards,
A Huber.
