Age limit
[edit]Some claim that Pope Paul VI established the age limit for the Cardinals to vote because of an episode during the Conclave in which he had been elected. It is said that the Archbishop of Milan, who was more than 80 years old, regularly voted on all the ballots for Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli, who had been Pope as Pius XII and died in 1958. I can't be much more precise in this moment, but I think that a short research could provide names and dates. This episode has been referred to by my parson, who apparently heard it from Cardinal Bertone. Should it be inserted or is it too vague?
- Cardinal Montini was born in 1897, so he could only have been aged of about 66 years old in the year 1963. I'm not sure about that story, maybe it's just a rumour, or maybe it has some elements of truth. ADM (talk) 05:55, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Number of ballots
[edit]The info box says 6 ballots but the article says he was elected on the 5th ballot. Which is correct?Adambondy (talk) 19:14, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
