((== A good example is the reaction between hydrogen and fluorine: H2 + F2 → 2HF We can write this overall reaction as two half-reactions: an oxidation reaction: H2 → 2H+ + 2e- and a reduction reaction: F2 + 2e- → 2F- ==))

What i want to ask is what does the 2e- stands or comes from???

Can you also give me a detailed explanation on each step to me on chemical reactions, how to form the chemical equation for example: Write the chemical equation fer the action of hydrogen sulphide on sulphur dioxide,SO2, producing water and sulphur and balance the equation.

The region ( to ) is taken from wikipedia...

Thanks for your help...:)
