Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Jasonnolan, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Again, welcome! --DarkEvil 14:41, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for encouraging your students to contribute to Wikipedia, we very much appreciate their articles. For future reference you may wish to consult Wikipedia talk:School and university projects. Overall your students have caused little disruption, though not unsurprisingly the articles they created do not show a full understanding of our formatting standards and do need some work. - SimonP 05:49, Dec 7, 2004 (UTC)

No worries. Thanks for the heads up. My students who are doing it right, are not showing up on the radar. I've actively warned students to be sure of what they're doing, as I won't take it kindly for student putting up poorly organized pages. Putting up pages is not a course requirement, and it is just a suggestion. The assignment is to build content on my mediawiki install, AS IF it was wikipedia. I'm thinking of revisions for the future. Jasonnolan 01:10, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Wikimedia Canada

[edit]

Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there!--DarkEvil 14:41, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hoder

[edit]

Glad you rung your MP to help free Hoder! i've worked a bit on the most obvious wiki/NPOV aspects of Hoder's arrest that i could find - see my edits, but i'm sure there must be more. Beyond wikipedia, see Hoder's own recommendations of what to do if he got arrested: http://hoder.com/weblog/archives/014173.shtml Boud (talk) 22:23, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mollie Gillen

[edit]

Hi Jason. I stumbled across your draft biography of Mollie Gillen. Any plans to put it out there? It is useful as it is. Billingd (talk) 05:25, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply on my talk page. If you publish the page I will give it a tidy and keep a loose eye on it. Remember the WP maxim – Be bold. As I said, I found it useful as it is. Billingd (talk) 00:04, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
