Family

Paolo's immediate family includes Rafael Roy (his younger brother), Georgina Angeles (his mother), and Robert Roy (his father). He has a total of 11 aunts and uncles, and 13 cousins. While most of his family lives in New York City or the Philippines, Paolo has family members living in over seven states.

Friends

The majority of Paolo's friends are in the Friday Group, his closest circle of friends. They include, but are not limited to, Evan and Jeremy Axelrad, Melanie Cappicione, Jorge Cubas, Caitlin and Kyle Gilbride, Hayden Lees, Josh Levy, Rafael Roy, Rachel Smith, and Ksenia Yachmetz. These, however, are not the only members of the Friday Group, nor is the group exclusive. These members hang out the most often, and are noted for the sake of convenience. Countless other members drift in and out of the group.

A common link between almost all members is their participation in the weblog community, LiveJournal.

Interests

General

Paolo's general interests and hobbies include writing in his online and personal journals, playing Ultimate and hacky sack, reviewing restaurants, shopping, participating in activism, and making lists. His academic interests include linguistics, international relations, anthropology, film, and creative writing (specifically screenwriting). He hopes to someday be either a school principal, screenwriter, or the President of the United States. Paolo is also an avid sports fan, and roots for the New York Jets in the NFL, the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA, and the New York Mets and Oakland Athletics in baseball.

Music

Paolo's musical interests include 80s/new wave, emo, trance, classical music, adult contemporary, indie pop, r&b, hip-hop, folk, jazz, ska, and jam bands.
