[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Olympos lesbos.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images (on my talk page) and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, BrokenSegue 23:37, 17 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Credits in images

[edit]

Thank you for uploading many beautiful pictures to Wikipedia. I notice, however, that all but one of the images you've uploaded have a small blue "Kotoviski" somewhere in the picture. (The exception appears to be Image:Tacv1.jpg.) Please note that by the Wikipedia image use policy, user-created images may not have any credits in the image itself. If you can, please upload your pictures again, this time without the "Kotoviski" in the corner. If you have any questions, please let me know. —Bkell (talk) 05:29, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you for your service to Wikipedia by uploading excellent images for use in articles. however, I note that all but one of the images you have uploaded contain a small blue watermark reading Kotoviski. this is a violation of Wikipedia Policy. as such, please upload a copy of the images without the watermark, or perhaps remove the images and find a suitable replacement. if you have any questions, don't hesitate to drop a note on my Talk page. --Master Runner 04:49, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Żubr i Klub Otrycki

[edit]

Mam sprawe zwiazana ze zdjeciem, umieszczonym przez Ciebie w Wikizasobach - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Wisent.jpg :).

Wraz ze znajomymi z bieszczadzkiego Klubu Otryckiego (http://www.otryt.bieszczady.pl), opiekujacego sie Chata Socjologa postanowiliśmy wytyczyc i oznakowac pierwsza w ukrainskich Bieszczadach sciezke dydaktyczna (historyczno-przyrodniczą). Przygotowujemy ja wspolnie z Ukraincami ze Starego Sambora, w okolicy ktorego bedzie ta sciezka. Sciezka bedzie sie skladac z 10 tablic, z czego czesc bedzie poswiecone faunie i florze Bieszczad.

Speedy deletion of Marek garztecki

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Marek garztecki requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. xenocidic (talk) 13:39, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article that was deleted contained no assertion that the subject is notable. Biographies of non-notable persons are deleted on a regular basis. If you believe that he is notable, then consider creating a version of the article with citations of evidence of his notability, as well as an explicit assertion of that notability. The deleted item lacked both of those. We have plenty of non-notable journalists here in Wisconsin, some of them of Polish heritage (not me, although I do speak Esperanto, which was invented in Białystok); articles about them would have been deleted just as quickly. Although I am more conscious than most about the cultural biases inherent in the English Wikipedia's contents, nobody here has any bias against the Polish people or their journalists. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:40, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Deleting stub "Marek Garztecki"

[edit]

The article didn't assert any kind of notability and I did in fact search and didn't find a single news article on the individual. P.S. I'm not American. If you had spent even half a second looking at my userpage before you launched your personal attack, you would know that. I suggest you look at Wikipedia's criteria for entries and ensure you assert notability in future article. Best regards, xenocidic (talk) 22:03, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Henryk. Regarding the material you added in this edit; unfortunately Wikipedia WP:V verifiability policy requires that our article content be verifiable in reliable secondary sources. The reference you supplied appears limited to its own view of the subject and can't be quoted in broad, universal terms. Thank You for the Wikipedia Picture

Hello, My name is Duane Hurst and I recently made a free (non-commercial) English web site to share information with people. I added links to your Wikipedia/Wikimedia freeware picture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Wisent.jpg). I also gave credit to you on my web pages for your work. Thank you for sharing with the public. My website is:

http://www.freeenglishsite.com/

I add pictures such as yours to one of the following major sections of my site: 1. World section - contains information and over 10,000 images of every world country and territory. Link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/world/index.htm

2. USA section - contains information and images of every USA state and territory. Link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/world/usa/index.htm

3. English section - "Mel and Wes" lessons in conversation format. Stories are located in various USA states and world countries such as China, England, Germany, Japan, Mexico and Thailand. Each lesson has many slang terms and idioms, which I link to my Slang Dictionary. This eventually will have over 5,000 terms. Currently, it has about 3,000 slang and idioms. I regularly add new lessons and slang terms. Link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/english/lessons/index.htm Slang Dictionary link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/english/slang/Eslang_a.htm

Prior to retirement, I taught English at several private and public universities in the United States.

Please share this free site with your friends. I hope all will enjoy the pictures and find the English information useful. Sincerely,  Duane Hurst in Utah, USA

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
