Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – We need indefinite page protection here. An anonymous IP editor has been vandalizing this page from its very beginning. They have removed sourced content in the past, added unsourced material, and so on. I tried to stabilize the situation before, eventually asking for page protection. The page was protected, but in the end, they prevailed. As soon as the protection was lifted, they came back and restored everything to their unsourced version. For almost three years, they have had complete control. They are still active now. It seems to be a single individual as far as I can tell. What's the point of anything then? I think IP editing should be permanently restricted on this page. This is the last time I will invest any of my time trying to bring the article up to Wikipedia's standards. Thank you. Varisu: ₹290–293 to ₹290–310
Kabali: ₹284–305 to ₹284–499
Beast: ₹227–240 to ₹217–300
Mersal: ₹220 to ₹200–260
Note that before the change, the figures were supported by the references provided in the corresponding ref fields. The new ranges, however, contradict the references because the user did not provide any sources to back their claim. In the subsection of the section "Non-jewish support" titled "Muslim support", it is stated that Al-Jamāʻah al-islāmīyah is considered a terrorist organization by the US. The US no longer considers Al-Jamāʻah al-islāmīyah a terrorist organisation since 2022. This can be replaced by stating that it is considered a terrorist organization by the UK. - @Anachronist Sorry, I should have mentioned that both the EU and UK transliterate the arabic letter ﺝ for j or g into English slightly differently than wikipedia does: They use a G whereas wikipedia transliterates it to a j. The EU refers to Al-Jama'a al-Islamiyya as "Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya" in the document I linked. The UK refers to it as "Al-Gama’at al-Islamiya" which is another way of transliterating, but this time they also used a t at the end of "Al-Gama-a" as that is closer to the way it is actually pronounced. They are all used interchangeably but refer to the same organization. If you look up either version of the English transliteration of the name you will get the same results. The wikipedia page for the organization also uses different sources using either of these variations to refer to it. Here's a source giving a few versions of the name in English:

I have no track record of incivility that I am aware of besides a heated conflict back in April, and am a host at the Teahouse. I have commented or voted on ~45 AfDs, and have sent several of my articles through AfC, and I know how the policies work there.
