Aeron Valderrama is a BS Chemistry graduate from the Institute of Chemistry, University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. He was a contributing writer to three issues of UAAP magazine and currently works as a full-time sportswriter for Tiebreaker Times.
Aeron Valderrama is originally named Aeron Paul Valderrama. His second given name was accidentally dropped, when the midwife mistaken it for the Filipino word "po" (a particle showing respect to elders).
He also studies different languages, such as Irish and French.
- Sports - an avid supporter of the UP Fighting Maroons, San Antonio Spurs, L.A. Lakers, Magnolia Hotshots, and the Philippine national teams. He likewise admires the talents of Daiya Seto, Neil Etheridge, Manu Ginóbili, Novak Djokovic, Keisuke Honda, Ian Thorpe, Park Tae Hwan, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tim Cahill, Kimi Räikkönen, Nimawan Pongsakorn, J. R. Celski, Lin Dan, Daniel Bego, Kim Yo-han, Ran Takahashi, Micah Christenson, Tatsunori Otsuka, Niccolo Gitto, Kim Yuna, Michael Christian Martinez, Zhang Jike, Lee Dae-hoon, Abe Hifumi, Narasaki Tomoa, Alberto Ginés López, Duncan Scott, and Ian Lariba.
- Travel - an avid watcher of the TV series, The Amazing Race and shows interest in foreign cultures through the study of different languages
- Music - loves the music of contemporary Irish artists like The Corrs, Westlife, and Boyzone. He also likes Korean groups Super Junior, Girls' Generation, and SHInee. His taste varies from classical -- Josh Groban and Christian Bautista -- to rock -- Linkin Park and Silverchair.
- Movies - likes Thai, Korean, and Filipino movies along with some UK- and US-made ones.
- Literature - loves anything "intellectually-stimulating" and "emotionally-moving": from the Harry Potter series to A Walk to Remember
