[edit]

Hi, I've submitted a text about Peter Schreier (tenor and conductor) which is blocked because it's identical to http://home.planet.nl/~peter.schreier/biographyengels.htm That is correct, but I am the maker and owner of the website, and I have made this text myself. So there isn't a copyright problem in my opinion!

Copyvio? No!

[edit]

I had sent an e-mail to the address given at [1], and Marijke was so nice to respond and authorize publication of the article on Wikipedia (under the GFDL):

From: "M.H. Halberstadt"
Subject: Re: Article on Peter Schreier on Wikipedia

I am Marijke and I posted this article. I've posted it in the German version too, and
that article was also blocked because of this copyright question.

I'm now un-copyvioing the article. Lupo 12:06, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)

File:Peter Schreier.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Peter Schreier.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Unreferenced TV production removed

[edit]

I've removed the two unreferenced TV productions. I hope this is ok. Grimes2 (talk) 12:39, 29 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

His sons' names: a tribute?

[edit]

I can't seem to find any info about this, but his son's names were Torsten and Ralf; could this have been a tribute to the great heroic tenor Torsten Ralf, one of the leading dramatic tenors of the previous generation? HandsomeMrToad (talk) 02:42, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, indeed! https://www.musik-in-dresden.de/2015/07/29/peter-schreier-80/ Grimes2 (talk) 08:06, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
