It is against policy to speedy delete Image:Bondage (Hogtie) Model Jassi.jpg while it is still being used in an article, so I have removed the delete tag. Thue | talk 23:23, 4 Nov 2004 (UTC)
William-Adolphe Bouguereau gallery
[edit]You have in the past edited William-Adolphe Bouguereau. A related article, the William-Adolphe Bouguereau gallery has been nominated for deletion for violating WP:NOT (AfD here). Swedish coat of arms
[edit]Hello. All Swedish provincial coat of arms are on Commons, under the name "Province coat of arms.png", e.g. Image:Gästrikland coat of arms.png. I just haven't tagged them.
The Swedish agency for heraldic has recursively claimed copyrights of them, so they will gradually be replaced by free versions, which will be uploaded ontop of them. (the example above is one of those that have been replaced by self-made ones).

[edit]I spent three hours making those damn Marilyn images. Couldn't you at least have told me about it first? Or bothered to mention it on the talk page? Or something? --Mark J 21:39, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, but these maps are a copyright violation because you used maps created by Microsoft Autoroute. On Commons free images (GFDL, CC or PD) are allowed only. --Raymond de 00:00, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit]I understand that you live in Moers. Could you please take a look at the articles about Moers and Wesel (district) and make any changes that seem appropriate? Thank you. Eastmain 04:50, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thats right. I will have a look on them this evening/tomorrow morning. --Raymond de 05:56, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Olympus E-20
[edit]I noticed that you've taken some photos using Olympus E-20. I just created Olympus E-20 article, and thought you might want to have a look. More importantly, Template:Olympus DSLR cameras doesn't list Olympus E-20 or Olympus E-10, and I'm not sure where to add them (see the note on the talk page). Image copyright problem with Image:GElogo.svg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:GElogo.svg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 22:34, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:RWE logo.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:RWE logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:21, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

A German bureaucrat
[edit]Greetings. I left a message at Brion VIBBER's page, but I see from his page that he may not always be able to give a speedy response, and someone suggested I try another German bureaucrat.
I used to edit as Tempo rubato. Then I asked for a change to the name Rigaudon. After I made the request but before it was dealt with, a vandal registered the name Rigaudon on German Wikipedia and was automatically given the name here as well.[2] It also happened to several other people who requested name changes around the same time, so it was not a coincidence. The thief was blocked and the account was renamed after a slight delay,[3] so I was able to take the name.
However, when I tried to create the account Rigaudon at Wiktionary today, I wasn't able to. I was asked for my global password. I looked at this page on the German Wikipedia, but couldn't understand all the instructions in German and wasn't sure what to do. (There were some instructions in English, but not for complicated requests like mine.) I hope you'll be able to help. I'd like to register Rigaudon at a few other projects, and can only do so if the Rigaudon at German Wikipedia is renamed. I am not in a hurry. Thank you. Rigaudon (talk) 23:07, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- P.S. My account here was renamed by the bureaucrat User:Avraham, who said that I would need to contact German Wikipedia and that if they had any questions they could contact him. Thank you. Rigaudon (talk) 23:11, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- Account "Rigaudon" renamed to "Zwangsumbenennung795". Raymond (talk) 14:57, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. But strangely, I am still not able to create an account. This gives the English Wikipedia Rigaudon (me) as the only Rigaudon account, now, but says that it's "unattached" - which would suggest that the "main" account still exists? I'm not sure what to do now. But thanks for your help anyway. Rigaudon (talk) 15:11, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi. As you recently commented in the straw poll regarding the ongoing usage and trial of Pending changes, this is to notify you that there is an interim straw poll with regard to keeping the tool switched on or switching it off while improvements are worked on and due for release on November 9, 2010. This new poll is only in regard to this issue and sets no precedent for any future usage. Your input on this issue is greatly appreciated. Off2riorob (talk) 23:45, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:GElogo.svg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:GElogo.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your deletion requests for 4 items by Anthonybard
[edit]Hello Raymond.
I've been in touch with Anthonybard because of his relative "newbie" status n the Wiki projects. Outside of Wiki I've been in contact with him for years now, because of our mutual interest in mountaineering history. Where my focus lies on K2, Anthonybard focuses on Mount Everest and in this field of play he has (one of) the most outstanding collections. You can't blame him for being new here - and you being impressed by jewels like these - but we all have to start one day. For the authenticity of these objects I can vouch, but if you'd rather reassure yourself by having a look at some other objects, please visit [himalayana.org] where part of the collection is on display.

I don't think I got round to thanking you for improving that article, I made the stub a few years ago but kinda never got round to doing more, so it's nice to see it cleaned up.
Incidentally when I created it I didn't know how to categorise it or how to (disambiguate) it. Technically it is a cabinet but that is not the word I think most would use: but couldn't (and can't) think of anything better. It's a bit kinda unclassifiable. If you can think of better, please boldly do! Si Trew (talk) 08:49, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
Tantalus
[edit]Sorry to bother you but I am deliberately not looking at your featured pics; I expect they are fantastic. Thanks for the thanks. I was wondering also if your brilliant pics of the tantaluses (tantali?!) could be a DYK, "Did you know... a tantalus (pictured) is a cabinet containing not enough drink", or something like that? Probably not DYK (that's for new or expanded articles and I don't think this would survive that) but perhaps somehow a featured pic. It is a bloody good pic (or two) and I take my hat off to you for making it. Si Trew (talk) 21:32, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
- Hi SimonTrew, thank you for your compliment. As you can see in my contributions, I am not a very active author on the English Wikipedia, just dropping photos into articles from time to time. So am not familiar with the local rules for DYK etc. But whatever you do to promote the article or the photos in the English Wikipedia, I appreciate it :-) Raymond (talk) 11:18, 15 November 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Film capacitor, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page WIMA (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
