This article barely scratches the surface. For better or worse, the US State Department does not release a report on the religious policies of its own government, but there are plenty of other sources. See also Separation of church and state. -- Beland 05:19, 8 Mar 2005 (UTC)

There is already an article called Separation_of_church_and_state_in_the_United_States, maybe it should be merged into this one (since this article is part of the "Status of religious freedom by country" category). 80.203.115.12 18:35, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Freedom of religion in the United States is the redirect target and is now pretty long. -- Beland (talk) 16:17, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

POV

[edit]

It really seems biased by supporting the united states as it hardly goes into detail like other "Status of religious freedom" articles.Akupta321 19:05, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. The use of the word "vice" (as in 'freedom of religion did not prevent certain states from banning vices such as') is blatant POV. I'm tagging the article. --SidiLemine 13:08, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
